I’m an experienced life coaching professional who can help shape your perspective into a healthy and productive one. Whether it’s your career, your relationships, long-term recovery issues, or anything else that’s important to you, I’ll help you develop the habits and skills to effectively deal with the challenges and emotional moments you may encounter in life.

WHAT IS LIFE COACHING?

What is your dream? What is your goal?

Although my background involves years as a counselor, my work is now focusing on life coaching, and I love it. Life coaching is different from therapy. It addresses mental health issues only as part of the context of a person's life. If mental health issues are causing distress or functional difficulties, you will receive a referral to a licensed mental health professional to help you with those difficulties.  A life coach is not problem-oriented, not looking into the past, but is focused on the present moment and toward the future. The present moment is the only moment from which we can begin to move toward our goal, which is situated in the future. Our goal (s) is our own vision for our life. It may be internal as in "I would like to stop over-thinking and be peaceful." It may be external as in "I would like to work in a job that is meaningful to me."  A life coach assists you in establishing goals, discovering strengths you may not know you have; assessing present obstacles, developing your own plan to move toward your personal or professional goals, and learning to listen to your own deep inner wisdom which is beyond fears and beyond the definitions of the past.

Sometimes, it seems as if life just has it in for us and we can never catch a break. In reality, there will always be moments we have little to no control over but, what we can always control is how we react to those moments. Sometimes we need to attain specific interpersonal skills to move forward. We may need to increase our understanding of emotions, or our communication skills, or our stress management skills, etc. in order to enhance the journey forward.  To this aim, I offer both online and in-person classes.
